Cheryl's career in skin began at Kingston College, where she trained before taking her first job in Wimbledon Village in 1999. The road between Kingston and the Village is a familiar one, and it is a journey many people now make for a facial that is planned around their skin rather than picked from a menu.

To be clear from the start: Village Aesthetics & Beauty is not in Kingston. We are a small, private clinic at 20 Ridgway, Wimbledon Village, London SW19 4QN, in the basement of Lu Lu Blonde hair salon. This page is for people in Kingston upon Thames, Norbiton, Coombe and New Malden who are happy to travel a few miles to see the same practitioner every time.

Kingston has plenty of places to book a facial, from the Bentall Centre to the streets around the old Market Place. What we offer is different in scale. Two practitioners, Cheryl and Scarlett, carry out every consultation and treatment themselves, and the person who looks at your skin is the person you speak to when you come back.

Getting to Wimbledon Village from Kingston

By train (quickest). South Western Railway trains from Kingston reach Wimbledon in about 13 minutes, calling at Norbiton, New Malden and Raynes Park. From Wimbledon station, the 200, 93 and 493 buses climb Wimbledon Hill Road to the Village in a few minutes. The 200 stops at Wimbledon Village / Ridgway, about a minute's walk from the clinic. Off-peak, TfL's Journey Planner gives around 25 minutes door to door.

By bus. The 57 runs from Cromwell Road bus station along Coombe Lane to Wimbledon station, where you can change onto the 200. Allow 35 to 40 minutes.

By car. It is about five miles. Head out via Cambridge Road and Coombe Lane West (A238), then up Copse Hill, which becomes Ridgway as you reach the Village. There is pay-and-display street parking around the Village. Most of Merton's Village parking zones are controlled Monday to Saturday during the day, so please check the signs.

Access. The clinic is in a basement and is reached by stairs only, so there is no step-free access. If stairs are difficult for you, please get in touch before booking and we will talk it through with you.

HydraFacial or a prescription facial? Choosing before you travel

If you are looking for a facial near Kingston, the most useful thing we can do is help you choose the right one before you set off. Our two main facials are designed to do different jobs.

HydraFacial follows a device-led sequence: cleansing, a gentle peel, painless vortex extraction and hydration, with boosters and LED chosen with you. Village Aesthetics is a verified HydraFacial provider, and Cheryl has worked with HydraFacial since 2012. HydraFacial Deluxe is £170. Platinum, at £200, adds lymphatic drainage at the start and Dermalux LED at the end. There is no downtime, so a HydraFacial works well three to seven days before an event. Prescription facials are led by the practitioner. The cleanse, exfoliation, extraction, massage and mask are chosen on the day, based on how your skin is behaving that week. They cost £120 for 60 minutes or £140 for 90 minutes. Choose one if your skin changes through the month, if you have different concerns in different areas, or if you would like time to go through your home routine.

When a facial isn't the whole answer

Sometimes a consultation shows that a facial alone won't change what is bothering you. In that case we will say so and explain the alternatives.

  • Texture and acne scarring. SkinPen microneedling (from £275) is carried out by Cheryl, usually as a course of three sessions four to six weeks apart. See acne and acne scarring for how we approach it.
  • Uneven tone and pigmentation. Skin peels (from £120) are chosen after a patch test. Your skin is often prepared with home care first, and a course is typically three to six peels.
  • Dullness and sensitivity. Dermalux LED can be booked on its own (£65) or added to another treatment (£35).

Making the trip worthwhile

Coming from Kingston means you are making a little more effort than someone who lives round the corner, so we plan with that in mind.

Courses are planned around your journey. Some treatments need a lot of visits. CACI non-surgical lifting, for example, is a course of ten sessions, twice a week for five weeks. We will talk honestly about whether that fits your week. If it doesn't, a single CACI Eyes or Jaw Lift session (£75, 40 minutes) before an event may suit you better.

Saturday appointments. The clinic is open on Saturdays from 9:00 to 17:00, and on Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 to 18:00.

Dermalux LED can be added to any skin treatment for £35, which makes the most of a single trip. Mention it when you book so the appointment length can be planned. Treatments with downtime, such as peels and microneedling, are planned separately after consultation.

Do you offer microneedling for clients from Kingston?

Yes. SkinPen microneedling starts from £275 and is usually planned as a course of three, four to six weeks apart, after a consultation. Expect redness similar to mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours, so you may prefer to drive or choose an appointment before a quieter day.

Which days can I book?

The clinic is open Tuesday to Friday, 9:30 to 18:00, and Saturday, 9:00 to 17:00. It is closed on Sunday and Monday. Appointments are usually available within a week, including Saturdays.
