How Prescription Facials works
The appointment opens with a consultation and skin analysis so that cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and massage are matched to how your skin is behaving that week. Actives are then layered in the order your barrier can tolerate, and the facial is finished with a mask, targeted serums and SPF.
No two facials are the same. Every appointment begins with a consultation and skin analysis so actives, exfoliation and massage are customised to suit your skins needs on the day. A teenage facial is also available for younger skin learning a routine.

Written home-care advice
Who it suits
- Skin that feels congested, dull or unbalanced
- First-time clients who want a starting point before advanced treatment
- Maintenance between peels, microneedling or CACI courses
- Younger skin learning a routine, via the teenage facial
When it isn't suitable
- Active skin infection, cold sores or broken skin in the treatment area
- Recent sunburn or heavy sun exposure
Downtime and aftercare
None. Skin may look slightly flushed for an hour or two, particularly after extractions.
- Keep the skin simple for 24 hours — cleanser, moisturiser and SPF
- Avoid heat, sauna and heavy exercise on the day of treatment
- Reintroduce retinoids and acids after 48 hours
What it cannot do
A facial improves clarity, hydration and texture. It does not resurface established scarring or change facial structure; those concerns are better addressed with peels, microneedling or a longer treatment plan.

Prescription Facials: common questions
How often should I have a prescription facial?
Most clients come every four to six weeks, which matches the natural skin cycle. If you are working on a specific concern, Cheryl may suggest a closer spacing for the first few appointments and then a maintenance interval.
What is the difference between the 60 and 90 minute facial?
The 90 minute version allows more time for extractions, massage and an additional mask or add-on such as Dermalux LED. The 60 minute facial covers the full core protocol.
