How Skin Peels works
A chemical solution is applied for a controlled time to loosen the bonds between surface skin cells, prompting the skin to shed and renew. Priming with home-care products beforehand improves both tolerance and outcome.
Peel strength and depth are chosen for your skin type, tolerance and the results you want, with priming beforehand where appropriate. Downtime ranges from none to light flaking, and treatment can be planned around events and holidays.

Downtime and aftercare
Ranges from none to light flaking for two to five days, depending on the peel chosen. Treatment can be planned around holidays and events.
- No picking or pulling at flaking skin
- Broad-spectrum SPF every day, reapplied outdoors
- Pause retinoids, acids and scrubs until the skin has settled
- Avoid sauna, steam and heavy exercise for 48 hours
What it cannot do
Peels improve tone and texture but are not a one-off cure for melasma or deep scarring; those usually need a planned course alongside daily home care and sun protection.

Skin Peels: common questions
Will a peel make my pigmentation worse?
Choosing the wrong depth or skipping sun protection can worsen pigmentation, which is exactly why a consultation, patch test and priming period come first. Cheryl will decline a peel where it is not the right approach for your skin type.
How many peels do I need?
Most concerns respond to a planned course rather than a single peel, usually spaced two to four weeks apart with a review as you go.
